about changes to myTrip
Updates to legacy mobile device support
Following a review of usage over the last 28 days, future releases of the myTrip App will only be available for Android version 7 and above, and iOS version 13 and above.
Adding ticket information to gift code emails
We are adding ticket information to the email that is sent to a gift code recipient so that it is clear which ticket they will receive when redeeming the gift code.
Sharing deep links to tickets and ticket categories
Visitors to the myTrip.today website are now able to generate deep links to a ticket, a ticket category, or an operator.
Improvements to ticket activation expiry
We are changing the language used when referencing ticket expiry and making some other improvements to information displayed on a customer’s tickets.
Adding ‘Use before’ dates to customer’s tickets and other ticket improvements
To make it clearer to customers that tickets need to be used before a certain date we are adding ‘Use before’ dates to tickets in their list of purchased tickets.
Restricted evening tickets in myTrip
We are now adding the option for evening tickets to be offered to myTrip users.
Pausing auto-refresh for website departure boards
We are implementing a change to make live departure boards on websites more accessible to a wider range of people (i.e. those with cognitive disabilities and screen reader users).
External link tracking in Google Analytics
We are now tracking external link clicks on operator websites in Google Analytics, so that you can see how many users are clicking through to external websites.
Improving ticket listings on myTrip.today
We are providing a link to navigate directly from a ticket on the website to the same ticket inside the myTrip app.
Giving users additional account management options
App users can now update their email addresses or delete their accounts. This gives customers more control over their personal account details.
Ticket listings on myTrip.today
To direct myTrip.today visitors to the operators and tickets available in the app, we now display all tickets that are available for sale on the myTrip.today website.
Opt-in for third party cookies on websites
To ensure myTrip websites are compliant with cookie management guidelines and best practice from the ICO (Information Commissioner’s Office), we are making a change to how user consent is acquired on websites.
Gift code search
To assist with any Customer Service enquiries you may receive relating to gift code claims, operators with access to Passenger Cloud can now search for gift codes directly.
Help & Support content now linked in-app
To assist myTrip users and quickly resolve common support queries, we now link to the myTrip Knowledge Base directly from the app.
Displaying Detail fields on website Timetable pages
We're making a change to Timetable pages for myTrip websites. These will now show the “Detail” field in page headers, as well as the “Description”.
Improving ticket scanning reliability and speed
To improve the reliability and speed of scanning a ticket, we have improved the screen behaviour when displaying a ticket on mobile devices. This will ensure that the device is ready to be scanned when required.
Resolving SIRI-VM data matching errors in Passenger Cloud
To enable operator staff to more easily spot and resolve data issues from vehicle monitoring feeds, we now display all vehicle activity sent from SIRI-VM feeds in Passenger Cloud.
Initial support for cancellations via SIRI-SM feeds for departure boards
Continuing our commitment to ensuring passengers have the most accurate real time information when travelling, we are implementing support for two methods of cancelling visits in real time stop monitoring feeds for departure boards only.
End of service time change
As we continue to learn more about the operators using myTrip and the services they run, we will be changing the end of service time for tickets on myTrip from 4.30 a.m. to 3.00 a.m.
Displaying operators nearest a user
To help myTrip users discover the operators serving their local area, their device's location will be used to reorder the Mobile Tickets operator list.
