Improvements to ticket activation expiry

We are continuing to work on improving the information we display on tickets to make it easier for customers to quickly understand important ticket information.

Last month, we released an update adding ‘Use before’ dates to tickets in a customer’s list of purchased tickets. Based on user feedback from that release we are now making the following improvements.

Firstly, we are changing the language from ‘Use before’ to ‘Activate by’ to more accurately describe the action the customer needs to take. Secondly, when a ticket’s ‘Activate by’ date is the same as the current date, but with a different year, we will show an approximate date rather than an exact date. This is to reduce the likelihood of a customer misreading the date and thinking they have to use the ticket on that specific day.

Finally, we will show the ‘Activate by’ on the purchased ticket detail view that the customer sees before ticket activation.

These updates will begin to roll out imminently.
