Updates to legacy mobile device support

We’re constantly striving to make the most of the Android and iOS platforms for delivering accessible, timely information and secure mobile ticketing to those that need it.

This means keeping pace with Apple and Google’s best practices and their requirements for publishing apps. Apps that still support very old devices aren’t able to make use of new features and security protections.

Accordingly, following a review of usage over the last 28 days, future releases of the myTrip app will only be available for Android version 7 and above, and iOS version 13 and above.

For the approximately 0.4% of users on Android 6 or iOS 12 or below, the existing version on their device can still be used. We recommend these users upgrade to a more recent operating system, especially in the case of Android, where Google are no longer providing security updates.
