Destination information available on individual vehicles

Our live vehicle tracking systems can now display a vehicle’s destination, making it easier for users to see where a vehicle is heading at a glance.

This new destination information is shown above the operator’s name on the individual vehicle view.

The information is dependent on the data we receive from your SIRI-VM supplier.

For operators with SIRI-VM feeds from Transmach and Init, this appears to be enabled by default. For Ticketer customers this is not enabled by default and we are working with them directly to understand how we can enable this for you.

If your feed provider is not mentioned above and you wish to enable this feature, you can contact them and request that this be turned on in the feed.

The feed requires the following:

  • A MonitoredVehicleJourney node containing:

    • a DestinationRef

    • and a DestinationName
